Special National Park Poster Project Upgrades

With just hours left on the Kickstarter campaign, I wanted to give you some last minute updates!

We managed to exceed all of our funding goals…and we’re just about to top 350 Backers 450% of our original goal! The best news is that by crashing the $20K funding mark, I’m able to offer backers so much more…

First off, every backer at the $10 and up level will now receive the Typography Poster absolutely free in addition to the posters they pledged.

So, you can actually pledge $10 and get they Typography Poster and a National Park poster — it’s the same as the $25 pledge — but since we reached our funding goals, I’m able to spread the love!

Second, everyone will get digital wallpaper backgrounds for phones, tablets, laptops and desktops featuring the images from The National Park Poster Project.

Third, everyone will receive a digital download of the Typography Poster…to do with what you will!

And, finally, we’re going to be able to up the print quality of the posters, using an environmentally-responsible, 100% recycled paper stock called “Conservation,” soy and veggie-based inks by working with D&K Printing in Boulder, Colorado.

There’s still time to get involved — but not much — the campaign ends tonight at 10PM Mountain Time.

Thanks,

Rob.

P.S. Still working on the last poster — for Rocky Mountain National Park!

The National Park Poster Project Enters Final Campaign Days

Well, the Kickstarter campaign has been a raging success, to say the least!

We were awarded Kickstarter Staff Pick status in the first week…and we hit the 100% funding mark in just nine days.

Then, we were off to the races. We hit 200%, then 200 backers. Then, 300% and 300 backers. Now, we’re on the verge of hitting 400% of our original funding goal.

During the campaign, we’ve released posters for Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and Grand Teton. I’m putting the finishing touches on Haleakala, and a second poster for Rocky Mountain this weekend (and I promise to have them done before the campaign ends on Sunday!).

And, the Grand Teton poster capped off the Rocky Mountain Collection…

So, just wanted to say “Thank You” again for all the incredible support, words of encouragement, and sharing this project with friends, family, followers and others who love the national parks!

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park Poster

It’s been said that the Black Canyon gets its name because it’s so steep, it only gets 33 minutes of sunlight every day. The canyon is actually alive with vibrant colors of rock, water and sky.

This is the 10th poster to be completed. Just two more to go!

Mesa Verde National Park Poster Released Today!

I’ve just finished the Mesa Verde National Park Poster, which turned out to be a real challenge…as the cliff dwellings required more detail than most scenes.

The new Mesa Verde poster is part of The National Park Poster Project — a Kickstarter campaign you can see here: http://goo.gl/DFKPG0

Thanks to awesome backer support, in just three weeks, our Kickstarter Staff Pick project has more than 150 backers and raised nearly 200% of our original funding goal!

Remember, once we reach 200% of our original funding goal, all backers will get a set of digital wallpapers for desktops, tablets and phones — featuring images from The National Park Poster Project.

So, with about a week to go, I’m hoping we can reach one more goal — to get 200 backers!

If you could become a backer of The National Park Poster Project on Kickstarter, you can get awesome posters, that are perfect for holiday giving! Click here to check it out: http://goo.gl/DFKPG0

Thanks! And, please share The National Park Poster Project with your friends, family, or anyone you think might be interested.

Also, I’ve created an Exclusive Backer Survey, where you can help decide which National Parks will be included in the next series of poster designs.

If you can back The National Park Poster Project — even at the $1 level — I’ll send you a link to the survey so you can help guide the future of The National Park Poster Project!

Rocky Mountain National Park Sneak Peek!

Last week was awesome, with great media coverage, Kickstarter Staff Pick status, and we reached our minimum funding goal in just nine days!

Check out the Kickstarter Page: goo.gl/DFKPG0

Today, I am releasing one of the two Rocky Mountain National Park posters…this one of Cub Lake. I’ve got a couple of other Rocky Mountain posters in the works…and I may put out a survey to see which ones people like best.

So, here’s Rocky Mountain #1…featuring Cub Lake…an easy hike out of Moraine Park, it offers meadows — often populated with wildflowers and wildlife — marsh, forests of pine and aspen and a serene lake surrounded by mountains. With a modest elevation gain, at least by Rocky Mountain National Park standards, this is a great hike for families whose skills have progressed beyond shorter hikes.

The National Park Poster Project Hits Funding Goal...In Just Nine Days!

The National Park Poster Project, currently running on Kickstarter, has reached it’s initial funding goal…in just nine days. The project, which was touted as one of Kickstarter’s fastest growing projects, and then awarded the Kickstarter Staff Pick no doubt added to the campaign’s success.

But now, there is much more to do! In order to reach the ultimate goal of creating a poster for each of the 59 National Parks, additional funds are needed for acquiring images, creating the artwork and printing the final posters.

Here’s a sneak peak at the Grand Teton National Park poster.

So, there’s more than two week’s left in the campaign, so please continue to share…and if you can back this project, that would be great, too!
